Your complete guide to a Skincare Routine- Morning and Evening

Hi beautiful,

I’m sure you missed the beauty posts, so I’m back with another one. I wanted this post to be perfect because skincare is dear to my heart. I watched a lot of skincare videos in the past and I was usually bombarded with a lot of information that I had no idea what I needed exactly for an everyday routine.

After much experimenting and creating a routine for myself, I am glad to let you in on my easy 2 step morning routine and 4 step night routine. I won’t be recommending specific products in this post because my skin is different from yours, but I’ll recommend you do your research and buy products that cater to your skin type. My skin is sensitive/acne-prone, so the products I use cater to this need.

Morning Routine:

1. Cleanse: In the morning, all the energy I can muster up for skincare goes into cleansing my face with a good facial wash. I don’t do anything extra, I just cleanse and dry my face. The cleanser I’m currently using is this Neutrogena bar soap for acne-prone skin. I mentioned the reasons why I love using bar soaps in a previous post.

Kemi Adetiba | Why you should watch the ‘King Women Series’

Hello beautiful,

Thank you for stopping by today, you’ll be happy because this is a concise post. I wanted to recommend the series ‘King Women’ to you, if you haven’t heard about it yet.

King Women is a Youtube interview series created by Nigerian media mogul, Kemi Adetiba. The series provides a platform where some successful Nigerian women provide insights into their lives, and how they defeated various obstacles to achieve their goals. The show takes you on a journey of how these women turned life’s lemons into lemonades. They share everything from relationships, to family ties, sexual assaults, career paths and much more. Behind every face is a story, and the stories of these beautiful, groundbreaking women will inspire you.

The videos below are two episodes that stood out to me the most in the series. If you intend to watch other episodes, search up ‘Kemi Adetiba King Women’ on Youtube. In addition, if you want a complete break down of the interviews, fellow blogger Koz has shared some lessons learnt from these women in different posts, you should go read.

Summertime Glow (aka slight slay)

Hi beautiful,

Welcome to Hazy Fantasies, I’m glad you stopped by today. It’s not officially summertime but it might as well be, the weather already feels like summer, I’m out of school and I feel light-hearted. I decided a while ago to switch up some things this summer. Try hopping on a few trends, explore new states or cities in the U.S.A, get back to reading novels, and most importantly, relax. Let’s see how I’m doing…

From the above list, the first thing I did was try a new hair color, I was indecisive on purple or burgundy, but you can see what color I went with in the end. I love how well the burgundy hair suits my skin tone, the curly hair is a plus. I also wanted to get into head wraps and bandanas this summer. Fortunately, I got some from Perade (my favorite store to shop for African accessories). I love the pink color of this bandana, and the pattern on it is icing on the cake. Just for the purpose of looking glam, I packed my hair into a side bun, and added some hoop earrings. What do you think of the look? Do you think I did justice to the bandana or it did justice to me?
