Welcome to Hazy Fantasies, I’m glad you stopped by today. It’s not officially summertime but it might as well be, the weather already feels like summer, I’m out of school and I feel light-hearted. I decided a while ago to switch up some things this summer. Try hopping on a few trends, explore new states or cities in the U.S.A, get back to reading novels, and most importantly, relax. Let’s see how I’m doing…
From the above list, the first thing I did was try a new hair color, I was indecisive on purple or burgundy, but you can see what color I went with in the end. I love how well the burgundy hair suits my skin tone, the curly hair is a plus. I also wanted to get into head wraps and bandanas this summer. Fortunately, I got some from Perade (my favorite store to shop for African accessories). I love the pink color of this bandana, and the pattern on it is icing on the cake. Just for the purpose of looking glam, I packed my hair into a side bun, and added some hoop earrings. What do you think of the look? Do you think I did justice to the bandana or it did justice to me?
Mules! These have been on my mind ever since I saw a pair on Instagram. I had to get the pair I’m wearing in the picture below from Zara because of its elegance. I mean, I almost opted out of buying it, but all thanks to Rachael (the beauty next to me) for pushing me to get them. Second best decision I made that day.
I’ve been loving white recently, even though I typically shy away from the color. Mainly because I’m a child and I’ll get my outfit stained, and we know how difficult washing whites can be. I’ve worn this dress a couple of times before but I never took pictures to do it full justice, so on this day I was ready to take gazillion photos at the Philadelphia Art Museum. Philly is such a beautiful city with glorious aesthetics everywhere. I truly felt like summer casually strolling, taking pictures in the city in a flowy white dress, head wrap and sandals, filled with pure joy.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate the back detail of this dress?
As for reading, I just finished reading Francine Rivers ‘Redeeming love‘, and it was was a good read. I definitely got back my reading mojo because of it, and I’m already searching for my next read. With regards to exploring new states, I’m currently in North Carolina and enjoying it. There’s something about the calm, and nature of the city I’m in that makes me feel very relaxed.
That’s all I have for this post, thanks for reading to the end, I hope you enjoyed it.
Is there any look that stood out to you? Do you have any book/novel recommendations? What trend do you think I should explore this summer, and which would you be exploring?
If you’re looking to make fun summer plans and need help, I have this post to help you out.

p.s: Would you believe me if I told you that the pictures in these posts were taken on iPhones?! I know, I was shocked too. They look like the outcome of a planned photoshoot.
