Your Complete Guide to a Skincare Regimen- Pamper Routine

Hey gorgeous,

If you’re reading this, it means you take skincare seriously and I’m proud of you. If you missed the previous post, I shared my simple 2 step morning skincare routine and 4 step evening routine, you should catch up. Now, who doesn’t love to pamper themselves? I definitely do, and that’s why I add more steps to my defined skincare routine to feel good. I thought it’d be nice to share with you guys my feel good steps, you’re welcome (winks).

The first and probably most common pamper routine for everyone is a Mask day/night. I comfortably use masks twice a week, but I force myself to use them three or four times weekly. There are a million and one masks out there but when I’m looking for a face mask, I’m on the look out for one of these qualities; Detox masks (charcoal masks, clay masks, mud masks), Exfoliating/pore-minimizing masks, Hydrating masks (I like sleeping masks for this reason), and Brightening/Glow masks (one with lemon extra, aloe vera, honey and the like).

Next is face steaming: I love love love a good facial steam. I’m very traditional with this process though. I use a plastic bowl, add a few drops of tea tree oil, bend my face over the bowl and cover my face with a towel for about 10 minutes (stopping in between).

If you want to be a bit fancier with the process, you should totally buy one of those facial steamers out there, maybe get me one too. In fact, here’s a link to purchase one.

I also treat my face: I have a very troublesome breakout-prone face so I treat my face every other night with a serum or essential oil, before following up with my moisturizer. Depending on what your skin problem is, you should treat your skin with a product catered to that.

Facial sprays: I use a facial spray to accompany my moisturizer application both mornings and evenings. I have only used the Mario Badescu facial sprays, and I really like them, especially the rose water spray. They’re instant hydration boost for your skin, plus they smell good (it’s a win win situation).

Get a facial: I haven’t gotten a facial before, but I would love to get one, most importantly, an affordable one. I’ve heard people rave about facials and seen real life results of how radiant a person’s skin becomes after a good one. If you have the means, you should get one, especially if you have a big event coming up.

Exfoliate: I know this should have been mentioned in my everyday routine because it’s so important, but I skipped it because I don’t exfoliate everyday. I do exfoliate twice a week with a scrub cleanser. I hope you already know how important it is to exfoliate, to get rid of those dead skin cells on the surface of your skin.

That’s it guys, we are done with the skincare posts, which took my lazy behind two weeks to write. Pray for me to get more inspired this summer. It seems all I want to do is watch shows, read books and sleep. I hope you are having a good summer, and this post is useful to you. Don’t forget to like, leave a comment and share.

Yours Truly…

  1. Hey!!! I battle to keep my skin care routine sometimes, but seeing the improvement is a huge motivation. What did you use to lay your hair? I love how neat it looks 🙌
