Eyyyyyyy heyyyyyy….. I’m super excited today, and I’m sure you can guess why. On the 29th of June 2016, I shared my very first blog post accidentally (story for another day). Fast forward to July 2017, and my baby is 1 (that’s right, this blog is my precious baby), and that’s why I wanted everything about this post/celebration to be perfect. First of all, I need to give a huge shout-out to you. Yes, you who is reading right now. I am so grateful to you for taking the time to read this post, I appreciate you. To all who have been reading this young blog since day 1, you are the real MVPs and I love you. You keep me going, and you are the reason why Hazy Fantasies is still alive today. I hope you feel very special.
If you asked me a year ago if I wanted to be a blogger, I probably wouldn’t have understood what you were asking me. I only discovered the blogging world in the summer of 2016, through Instagram and YouTube. I love reading and viewing cute photos, so it was no surprise that I got hooked on blogs. I started mine in June, and it’s been a journey ever since. Blogging is such an experience (a positive one). It’s been an amazing documentation of my growth as an individual and my struggles. I love connecting with people on here and building a community. I also love receiving insights and advice from my readers, I honestly apply your wise inputs in my life. Another major lesson I’ve learnt is, blogging is a preview of what real life would be like after university. Working on projects, researching, being disappointed by suppliers/clients, getting bored and finding inspiration, collaborations, networking are things I’ve dealt with and continue to deal with as a blogger.

Thank you for stopping by today, you’ll be happy because this is a concise post. I wanted to recommend the series ‘King Women’ to you, if you haven’t heard about it yet.
King Women is a Youtube interview series created by Nigerian media mogul, Kemi Adetiba. The series provides a platform where some successful Nigerian women provide insights into their lives, and how they defeated various obstacles to achieve their goals. The show takes you on a journey of how these women turned life’s lemons into lemonades. They share everything from relationships, to family ties, sexual assaults, career paths and much more. Behind every face is a story, and the stories of these beautiful, groundbreaking women will inspire you.
The videos below are two episodes that stood out to me the most in the series. If you intend to watch other episodes, search up ‘Kemi Adetiba King Women’ on Youtube. In addition, if you want a complete break down of the interviews, fellow blogger Koz has shared some lessons learnt from these women in different posts, you should go read.

I’m not a music critique in any way, though my recent posts about music might suggest otherwise. I am only a sucker for songs with beautiful messages. I might be weird but I’m not a fan of songs with intangible lyrics (a lot these days), I only listen to them when I’m with other people. This is why my favorite thing (rather, person) of the week is……
Alessia Cara! I might be late to the party but I only discovered her music last weekend after hearing the song ‘Scars to your beautiful’ play on the radio. The song spoke to my core, then my friend recommended another song ‘Here’ to me, and the lyrics had me. The song is for all those who secretly hate college parties, and I was like yep, that’s me. Took me a while to come to my conclusion, but once I did, I literally felt lighthearted. I mean why keep forcing yourself to like something you are not interested in?
I took screenshots of some lyrics to her songs and placed them below. I really recommend you listen to her if you’ve grown tired of the same old songs and are looking for something deeper. Continue reading “Artist Spotlight| Alessia Cara”
How you doing? It’s been on mind to write this post for the longest time, so glad I finally got around to it. This post is about a brand that crept into my life and amazed me some months ago. It’s drugstrore brand, Garnier. I don’t know how familiar most of you are with this brand, because I had no idea the brand even existed till December 2016, but I have been pleasantly surprised with most of the products I have purchased from the brand, and I decided to share with you guys, so here it goes.. Hi guys, happy weekend! I was so anxious all week, anxious for the weekend (because the week was too darn stressful) and for my upcoming posts (they promise to be exciting). Without further ado, let’s get into this mini haul, all from Ulta Beauty.
Remember when I reviewed different mascaras in my recent review and said if I had to buy any, it would be the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara.Well, I stayed true to my word and bought it. Read the review to find out why.
Next thing I got is this Mario Badescu Grab and Go kit. It contains a facial spray for hydration and glowy skin, and a drying lotion that claims to dry out pimples instantly. I used the facial spray all week, and I fell in love. My skin feels hydrated, not oily in the mornings when I use it. I can’t tell you much about the drying lotion yet, but I’ll keep you updated. Hello beautiful people, guess who’s on spring break? You guessed right if you said me! It’s time to be lazy, explore, catch up on shows, and watch some movies. Speaking of movies, I thought I’ll share movies I’ve watched with you guys this year. I’m not exaggerating when I say you have to go watch these movies, they are must sees (not sure if this is even a word). I’ve been excited for 2017 because so many promising movies are lined up.
This is the website where I watch all my movies, you’re welcome ;). http://cyro.se/

It’s been a while, and I missed you guys a lot. I just needed to take a break to focus on midterms, papers, and work on me, so me can better for you. Did you guys even notice I was gone? I’ll take it personally if you didn’t oooo. Any-hoo, I decided to come back with something light before we delve into the deep stuff (I know that’s what you guys enjoy). I have so much to gist you about the amazing Christian conference I attended last weekend, but that’s for later. I wrote a little bit about it in this POST.
Tell me how I never paid attention to Yemi Alade, I mean I knew she had been in the music industry for a while, and I admired her style, but I never really cared for her music. I only ever liked this romantic song from her, Kissing (video below). That is all in the past now, as I have decided that Yemi Alade is truly a King of Queens!!!! I mean this lady exudes beauty, style, confidence, talent and culture.I watched all her music videos on Friday, and noticed that each one had a beautiful story line, and her outfits made me appreciate my culture more.
To me, Yemi Alade is a star, and if you don’t agree with me, let me know why. I know a lot of people criticize her lyrics, but can we all agree that most of the Nigerian audience focus on the beat of a song, and not the lyrics (I’m different though). Apart from that, I love how she emphasizes the beauty of Africa and its people in her music through places, fashion, hairstyles, and languages. She is also versatile, and has collaborated with different international artists, bringing Africa to the world. So, I bring you my favorite music videos of Yemi, hope you enjoy.
This girl got vocals, and she flaunts them in this song with South African band, Mi Casa. Continue reading “Best African Female Artist!”
Hi guys! I know you’re probably thinking, ‘why is this talkative posting again?’, but this one is to your advantage, especially the lovebirds. As you know, love is in the air, and valentine’s day is exactly one week away. I wasn’t inspired to style an outfit for the day, mostly because I never do anything , it’s just a regular day for me. However, I couldn’t help but fall in love with this outfit I saw Zaria of (http://www.adoseoffab.com/), wear in her latest post.
